A large barrel-shaped but
nonterminated corundum crystal, lacking enough red tint to
be called ruby. Feels heavy for it's size; a good example
of moderately high specific gravity (SG = 4). Also good
for your hardness test kit, as corundum has Mohs hardness
of 9. Self standing on its sawn basal base.
