12339: Gypsum variety Selenite with
Enhydro - $60 Ten miles north of Tehran, Tehran Province, Iran Cabinet - 13.7 x 6.5 x 3.1 cm 388 grams Specimen status: Available Send an email with specimen number to order A terminated gypsum crystal with an
easily visible, mobile bubble in a fluid inclusion in the
center. Very transparent; the mineral tac supporting the
specimen from behind for photography is clearly visible.
Made even cooler by its collection date, which a previous
(although truncated) label indicates was 1950, when Mohammad Reza
Pahlavi (The Shah) ruled. A few rough spots,
otherwise this would be a $200 specimen.
