Clusters of tabular, golden brown pyrrhotite crystals with distinct metallic luster. Minor quartz points and even more minor galena are noted. Self standing. Very minor microchipping seen under magnification. Like marcasite and pyrite, pyrrhotite is susceptible to decomposition ('pyrite disease'), however I've had this specimen for four years without any obnoxious sulfurous odors, cracking, or other signs of decay, so it appears stable.
