A lightly smoky quartz crystal with exceptional clarity rivaling Swiss quartz. The angled termination is complete; one side appears to have been either broken or contacted, and recrystallized ('healed'). The opposite end, however is very unusual for Southern California: it bears the distinct stub of a scepter shaft (!) which is also recrystallized! From an obscure locality not listed at Mindat. Perfect condition.
