Blocky, pyrolusite crystals to about 4 mm, with good metallic luster, in a pocket in massive pyrolusite. Looks somewhat like manganite but this mineral is not listed for the locality. In addition, then specimen produced vigorous oxygen evolution when treated with 12% hydrogen peroxide (just like pyrolusite does). So maybe this is pyrolusite replacing manganite? Excellent condition.
