Green, micaceous and tabular (meta)zeunerite crystals to about 3 mm on matrix. Strongly radioactive due to uranium content; cannot be shipped internationally. Zeunerite, a hydrous copper uranyl arsenate - Cu(UO2)2(AsO4)2·12H2O readily loses for molecules of water to form metazeunerite - Cu(UO2)2(AsO4)2·8H2O. These minerals cannot be distinguished visually (and are likely both present in the same crystal); hence the name '(meta)zeunerite.'
