A large and photogenically challenged
amethyst cluster from a rather obscure Maine
pegmatite locality (for which Mindat hosts just
three mineral specimen photos). When backlit shows
some distinct amethyst coloration. Notable for its size as
well as the overall rarity of amethyst in pegmatites.
