A thin but very straight column and terminated of stacked, lightly iridescent marcasite crystals. From a 2023 find. Like pyrite and pyrrhotite, marcasite is prone to decomposition ('pyrite disease'), during which the specimen emits sulfurous fumes and falls apart. However this specimen is odorless and appears quite stable.
