Two parallel columns of lightly
iridescent, stacked marcasite crystals. Not terminated.
From a 2023 find. Like pyrite and pyrrhotite, marcasite is
prone to decomposition ('pyrite disease'), during which
the specimen emits sulfurous fumes and falls apart.
However this specimen is odorless and appears quite
stable.
