A compact mass of coarse to fine grained, lilac lepidolite. Although lepidolite has recently been discredited as a valid mineral species (has been redefined as 'a series between polylithionite and trilithionite') the term is still wildly used to name material of the type shown here. Very typical for the 'species'/mining district, and a must for every collector of California, pegmatite or lapidary materials. Self standing.
