A large, doubly terminated gypsum crystal. Nicely transparent, clearly revealing a brown mud core. The locality is noted for producing odd gypsum twins; this one looking like someone grabbed opposite terminations and twisted. Excellent condition, especially considering gypsum's softness (Mohs 2) and ease of cleaving. I purchased this specimen from The Arkenstone in 2000; the corresponding label accompanies the specimen.
