Massive to crystalline goethite
associated with massive pyrite - a nice mineral
association specimen for the locality. Previous labels
(which accompany the specimen) label the dark mineral as
pyrolusite but this is incorrect; this dark mineral does
not write on paper and fails to react immediately and
vigorously with a 12% hydrogen peroxide solution. Ex Laszlo Dudas.
