Abundant, smoky dark and translucent to opaque cerussite crystals, many well-formed, to 5 mm scattered about on a black, lead-rich matrix. Galena cleavages are also quite abundant, and the crystalline pyrite to a few mm is minor. Galena is uncommon from this locality (or at least rarely offered for sale); of the 3900 Ojuela Mine mineral specimen photos at Mindat, only ten show galena as a major species.
