Abundant opaque, green-brown childrenite-eosphorite crystals - in individuals and sprays - to about 4 mm on a feldspar matrix. Although often labeled as one species or the other, childrenite - Fe²⁺Al(PO₄)(OH)₂·H₂O and its manganese analog eosphorite - Mn²⁺Al(PO₄)(OH)2·H₂O cannot be distinguished visually, and are (probably) frequently present in the same specimens and/or crystal.
