A translucent to transparent topaz crystal. Two faces are smooth and glassy (better than my lousy photos suggest) while the top, bottom and back have suffered natural etching. That this is a topaz crystal is evident from it's 'heft' (recall topaz has a somewhat high specific gravity for a gem mineral). Perfect condition; I do not consider natural etching to be damage. Several self standing display angles. A great example of an etched gem specimen, for those of you who like such things (as I do).
