A black cassiterite crystal with good metallic luster. Octahedral in form. Some contacted areas but overall excellent condition. Quite rare for the locality; of the 1020 Himalaya Mine mineral specimen photos hosted at Mindat, only four are of cassiterite. This Mindat photo appears to be this exact specimen! Currently mounted on a clear acrylic base which fits perfectly into a standard plastic 'Perkie' thumbnail box.
