A large but incomplete magnetite crystal, somewhat lustrous, with four complete or partial faces. Elsewhere the specimen is contacted or broken. Definitely magnetite and not a garnet, as this specimen is strongly magnetic. A few years ago the mineral collector market was flooded with material from this locality, but specimens are now much harder to find.
