Abundant, sparkling, translucent to transparent calcite plates, in some instances approximately hexagonal, on matrix. Dim white fluorescence under both longwave and shortwave UV. Previous owners collection label (which accompanies the specimen) indicated it was collected in October of 1987. Good condition, and quite typical of the species/locality. With the open pits and dumps now all but closed to collecting material from this famous locality will just become scarcer.
