A 1.8 cm, translucent and terminated tourmaline crystal which I have excavated from its enclosing massive quartz matrix. The tourmaline has several parallel white lines, caused by recrystallization after a pocket rupture/crystal break event. Such break/heal events are globally uncommon in tourmaline yet found frequently at this locality.
